Tyler has a strong testimony of the importance of baptism.
Tyler's first opportunity to participate in a baptism for was his sister, Sophie.

We find these notes all over the Traveller home.

Back at it!

So I am going to keep it short today and I am sorry!  I know that I don't include a ton of experiences from the mission but I would rather share with you guys things that I have learned that I believe can greatly affect your life for the better!

So this week do me a favor and answer this question...

"Why do we need to be baptized?"

I am gonna shoot out the answer to this question next week, but I really want you guys to ponder this.  In the Church, we get so wrapped up in the behaviors that we often never learn or understand the "WHYS".  So please study this and think of an answer for me.  Not WHAT we do when we are baptized but "WHY".

Love you all, make it a great week!!

In a letter sent to his family, Tyler included the following:

"So this week I got a new companion, still in the same area.  He is American and has about 15 months in on the mission.  The crazy thing is our whole district of 6 is pure Americans haha.  So yeah it was nice to change it up a bit but it is for sure going to take some getting used to again."

"We were able to baptize Mario last week and he is doing amazing.  He is going to receive the Aaronic Priesthood soon.  I am so excited for him.  He really has changed and is happy.  He tells us that when he reads the Book of Mormon his worries about work and paying the bills go away, so that is amazing.  I pray that he can stay away from smoking.  Please pray for him as well."

Fighting the Good Fight!!!

Hello everyone!!  Back at again with another weekly.

I learned so much about faith this week and it has rocked my world.  I have been reading and looking for a lot on faith and it is incredible what I have learned.  Also, I need to apologize for my email last week haha.  I had no time.

OK, back to faith.  Why did you click the button to turn on the TV? You had faith it would turn on the TV.  Why did you click the button to turn on your phone?  You had faith that it would turn on your phone.  Why did you set an alarm for this morning?  You had faith it would wake you up in the morning.  My point is faith is in every aspect of our lives and it is the same with spiritual things as it is with physical things.  If you don't have the faith that you can be forgiven of your sins, how can you expect to be forgiven?  If you don't have faith that you will receive Celestial Glory after this life, how can you expect a Celestial Glory?  What is my point?  Increase your faith.  Go to the Topical Guide for the Book of Mormon and look up faith.  Then read all of the scriptures that include faith.  It is incredible what you will find.  If you don't have faith to receive spiritual blessings you are never going to receive them.  It all starts with your faith and if you have true faith it will lead to action.  Faith without works is dead.

If you have faith it is going to lead to action, and I invite you to read Hebrews 11.

Make it a great week everyone...Because you have the faith that it will be a great week.

Love,
Elder Traveller

2019!!!

Well hello everyone!  I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

This past couple of weeks have been crazy and God has truly manifest himself in the work.  We have had so many things happen that I know are miracles.  God loves his missionaries!!!  But even more loved are the people that are willing to listen to His message...and are humble.

I want to invite you all to be very grateful for what you have, especially during this time of year.  We have an investigator that is homeless, had two broken legs that did not heal right so they are basically curved, and he still has to try and work.  Most people would be so angry with God at this point in their lives, but guess what he told us...He said I know God will not give me anything that I cannot handle.  What faith!!!  And he has nothing.  I can't help thinking about how lucky we are back at home.  We have big houses, work, great families, and so many gifts and toys.  Be grateful.  I know everyone still has hard times in the U.S....work, great families, and homes do not take away our trials and in no way am I diminishing your trials.  They are so hard, I know.  But be grateful.

I love you all.  Pray for me not to sucker punch my companion tonight.  Haha just kidding....But seriously.  HAVE AN AMAZING DAY!
